Thaksin’s 37-year-old daughter set to turn out to be new Thai premier


Former Thai chief Thaksin Shinawatra’s daughter is about to turn out to be Thailand’s subsequent prime minister, signaling coverage continuity after one other party member was ousted from the highest job on Wednesday.

Paetongtarn Shinawatra, 37, will contest a parliamentary vote on Friday because the nominee of a multi-party group led by Pheu Thai party. Her nomination was endorsed by the 11-member coalition that has greater than 300 members within the 500-member House of Representatives, Pheu Thai Secretary-General Sorawong Thienthong instructed reporters.

The election of a brand new chief was necessitated by the dismissal of Srettha Thavisin as prime minister in an ethics violation case.
