Teenager arrested in taking pictures loss of life of 14-year-old boy final month in San Bernardino



A 16-year-old has been arrested after police discovered a firearm allegedly related to the deadly taking pictures of a 14-year-old boy final month in San Bernardino, police stated Friday.

Officers acquired a report of a taking pictures involving juveniles close to thirteenth Street and Acacia Avenue at about 3:29 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27. Ayden Rodriguez, 14, of San Bernardino, was discovered affected by a gunshot wound and died after being taken to a medical facility.

San Bernardino police later served search warrants and on Wednesday, April 10 took a 16-year-old into custody for allegedly killing Rodriguez, authorities stated. The suspect, whose identification was not instantly made public, was arrested on suspicion of homicide, stated Capt. Nelson Carrington, a San Bernardino police spokesman.

“A firearm was recovered throughout the search and matched proof recovered on the scene of the taking pictures,” officers stated.

Carrington stated the motive of the taking pictures stays a part of the continued investigation. Other particulars surrounding the investigation and arrest weren’t made public.
