On Sunday, Aug. 18, a number of mother and father and college students reported their concern over a social media put up that threatened violence on the center faculty. The put up included a photograph of a number of weapons, which was later decided to be a picture taken off the web, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department mentioned in a Monday assertion.
The holder of the concerned social media account was recognized as a 13-year-old boy, who was arrested on suspicion of felony threats and threatening faculty workers and booked at Riverside Juvenile Hall, authorities mentioned.
It was unclear if the boy had a relationship with the college.
“There have been no different threats to the college, and we consider the juvenile acted alone,” mentioned a sheriff’s information launch.
Additional deputies have been on campus Monday for additional security and safety, the Sheriff’s Department mentioned.
The arrest within the Moreno Valley investigation was introduced a day after Murrieta Police introduced a former pupil at Warm Springs Middle School in Murrieta had been arrested on suspicion of posting threats on Instagram in opposition to that college.
