Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom, who presided over his nation’s entry to NATO, introduced Wednesday that he’ll step down subsequent week.
The skilled Billstrom, who hails from the center-right Moderate party, stated he has been contemplating the choice for a while.
“I’m blissful and really pleased with all the pieces now we have achieved in these two years,” he said on X. “First, the plain: After an extended and typically difficult course of, Sweden is lastly a member of NATO. We have now left over 200 years of nonalignment.”
