A South Korean courtroom on Tuesday permitted an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol, who has been impeached and suspended from energy over his determination to impose martial regulation on Dec. 3, investigating authorities mentioned.
The warrant makes Yoon the primary sitting South Korean president to face arrest.
“The arrest warrant and search warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol, requested by the Joint Investigation Headquarters, had been issued this morning,” the Joint Investigation Headquarters mentioned in a press release.
The detention warrant was filed after Yoon ignored all three summonses from an anti-corruption company requesting his look for questioning over the short-lived martial regulation declaration.
