A bunch of demonstrators held a protest in Washington, D.C., Tuesday night time over a latest deadly police taking pictures of a person within the southeast a part of the district.
This comes after 26-year-old Justin Robinson, a member of the D.C. violence interruption program referred to as Cure the Streets, was shot and killed by cops earlier this month at a McDonald’s on Marion Barry Avenue.
Cure the Streets is a pilot public security program launched by the Office of the Attorney General of D.C. that seeks to scale back gun violence.

The demonstration that grew to greater than 100 individuals on Tuesday compelled streets to close down, and police stated they arrested six protesters.
“At roughly 10:05 p.m., peaceable protests at MPD’s Seventh District station turned violent when people started throwing bottles, rocks, and different objects at officers,” the police division stated in an announcement. “MPD instantly started giving dispersal warnings as people continued to throw objects at officers.”
“We will proceed to assist those that select to protest peacefully and safely, and we are going to proceed to carry accountable those that commit felony acts,” police added.
