A 19-year-old Perris man was behind bars for allegedly promoting medication to a 22-year-old man who died on account of a fentanyl overdose in Murrieta.

Miguel Angel Gonzalez was arrested Thursday after detectives from the Murrieta Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team and General Investigations Detective Bureau served a search warrant at his Perris residence, police mentioned.

Gonzalez was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of murder on a bail quantity of $1 million.
