Reacting to the incident, Mr Moodley mentioned: “Two-tier policing is unfortunately not a fiction or some conspiracy principle, it is a actuality that Christians within the UK have been experiencing for years.

“It should not be for the state to determine which religions and ideologies should not be mentioned or critiqued within the public avenue. The result’s the normalisation of a two-tier society the place some beliefs and ideologies are valued and guarded, whereas others are undermined and outlawed.

“The world is trying on the dismal state of free speech within the UK with shock. What occurred to me displays a wider pattern of accelerating state censorship within the UK and throughout the West.”

“But the truth that he was arrested, held in police custody for 13 hours, and had his property destroyed with the encouragement of Avon and Somerset police is objectively appalling. Nobody needs to be topic to discriminatory therapy for peacefully and lawfully sharing their core beliefs.

“In this case, Pastor Dia was himself a sufferer of crime, together with assault, aggressive harassment and felony injury and but, perversely, he was the one handled as a felony for peacefully exercising his elementary rights.

“Everyone should be handled equally below the legislation. Freedom of speech can’t be the protect of these expressing socially progressive beliefs. In a democratic society, everybody should have the fitting to peacefully specific their core beliefs, even when these beliefs are thought-about controversial or criticise different religions and perception techniques.”
