New brush fireplace shuts a part of 215 Freeway, prompts extra evacuations in Murrieta on Saturday



A  giant brush fireplace broke out in Murrieta on Saturday, Aug. 3, prompting fast evacuation orders and a freeway closure.

The fireplace was reported alongside the east aspect of the 215 Freeway between Los Alamos and Clinton Keith roads, in response to the Murrieta Police Department.

Structure fires had been reported alongside Whitewood Road.

An fast evacuation order was issued for the world east of the 215, west of Ruth Ellen Way and north of Los Alamos Road. The 215 Freeway was shut all the way down to site visitors between Los Alamos Road and Clinton Keith Road.

The reason behind the fireplace was not instantly recognized.

The fireplace comes on the heels of the Alamos fireplace, which broke out Friday on a hillside close to a Murrieta sports activities park burned 72 acres, forcing evacuations.
