Warring Russia and Ukraine exchanged some 300 prisoners Monday in a deal brokered by the United Arab Emirates.
“The return of our folks from Russian captivity is all the time excellent information for all of us,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned hours after the handover.
The two nations exchanged 150 enemy prisoners every, in line with the Russian protection ministry. Zelenskyy, in the meantime, mentioned Ukraine had recovered 189 of its nationals — “troopers, servants and officers” — whereas two had been civilians captured in Mariupol. The swap was brokered by the UAE, Zelenskyy added.
