Man arrested on suspicion of homicide in lady’s loss of life in Pomona



A person has been arrested on suspicion of homicide following the loss of life of a lady in Pomona in February, authorities stated on Tuesday, April 2.

On March 21, officers with the Pomona Police Department Special Investigation Unit arrested 43-year-old Tommy Ray Belin, on suspicion of killing 25-year-old Andrea Bustillos.

The investigation began on Feb. 26, when patrol officers responded to a 9-1-1 name within the 900 block of West Holt Avenue in Pomona for a girl probably overdosing from fentanyl.

Officers discovered Bustillos, unconscious with seen accidents, at that location. Firefighters tried to save lots of her, however she was declared dead on the scene.

Investigators recognized Belin because the suspect and he was arrested in Upland and booked at Pomona City Jail on expenses of homicide, assault and being a intercourse offender who didn’t register with police as a transient after transferring from a residence.

It’s unclear if the girl died from an overdose or from her accidents, and it’s unclear what led investigators to the suspect.

An investigation is ongoing.
