And there’s a really bodily element to the household’s mourning course of.
It has been one 12 months because the demise of Mama June’s daughter, Anna Cardwell.
Amidst their grief, the household brings her ashes with them every time they go away the home.
Mama June beforehand defined how the household retains Anna with them
Just over per week forward of the one-year anniversary of Anna Cardwell’s tragic passing, June Shannon mentioned how the household treats her late eldest daughter’s ashes.
Some households scatter ashes in nature — typically, illegally. Other households maintain ashes in funerary urns at residence. Sadly, some family members find yourself in unlabeled plastic containers in a cupboard.
As Mama June defined in her Facebook publish, she and different household deliver Anna’s cremains with them on errands.
Speaking to People, Mama June is now elaborating on how the household is treating Anna’s ashes.
“For me, personally, taking her urn all over the place with us, and I’m speaking about the entire urn,” she detailed.
“People may suppose I’m loopy,” June acknowledged. “But we’re speaking about the entire urn. We’re not speaking concerning the little child urn.”
‘We don’t fly with the large urn’
Anna Cardwell’s battle in opposition to stage 4 adrenal carcinoma lasted solely 10 months. She handed away in December of 2023, forsaking her two daughters and grieving household.
“We do all put on jewellery [with her ashes] that we’ve,” Mama June specified. “But the large urn, if we’re driving someplace, she goes with us.”
She did be aware one main exception: “Now, will we fly along with her? No,” she stated. “But we fly along with her on jewellery. We don’t fly with the large urn.”
“If we’re flying, no, she’s not left in the home,” June assured.
“What we usually do is we take her within the automobile, we’ll go away her within the automobile parked at a parking zone,” she defined. “And then she stays there for per week.”
June continued: “as a result of we don’t need to fly along with her after which have her taken away. We simply don’t need to take that danger.”
“We drove to Colorado, she went to Alabama, she’s going to South Carolina this weekend,” June rattled off. “So simply conserving that half like, ‘Okay, Anna’s within the automobile.’”
Notably, Alana Thompson is attending faculty in Colorado.
“Or we went to Justin’s momma this previous week in Alabama and I used to be like, ‘Well, shoot, we introduced Anna right here,” she added for example.
Mama June shared the one want of Anna’s that they didn’t fulfill
Explaining that Anna Cardwell “liked being within the highlight,” she admitted that “if it [had been] as much as her, we might’ve streamed her funeral.”
June elaborated: “That’s what she wished and we [were] like, ‘No, no.’ That was the one want we didn’t give her when she handed away.”
She shared that her hope is that the reminiscence of Anna will dwell on in followers because it has with the household.
