Lisa hearth close to Moreno Valley stalls — as firefighters have it 50% contained


East of Moreno Valley, the 867-acre Lisa hearth didn’t develop in a single day whereas containment elevated to 50%.

Sunday evening, June 16, containment was at 20%.

“It appears actually good,” mentioned Tawny Castro, a spokeswoman for the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. “We don’t anticipate any modifications besides aside from the containment percentages.”

The distant, rugged terrain has made it troublesome for floor crews to get to the flames, Castro mentioned. But no buildings have been threatened and no accidents had been reported.

The Lisa hearth was reported at 1:11 p.m. Sunday within the space of Gilman Springs Road and Alessandro Boulevard.
