As of Friday morning, there was no containment. That is the proportion of the hearth’s perimeter that officers say the flames won’t transcend, due to pure boundaries akin to water or rocks or firefighters’ efforts.
Evacuation warnings had been issued for neighborhoods east of Church Street, north of Highland Avenue and neighborhoods east of Weaver Street and north of Greenspot Road to the Iron Bridge, Cal Fire authorities stated.
More than 250 hearth personnel had been assigned to the hearth as of Thursday night time.
Crews battling the blaze will face excessive warmth Friday: The forecasted excessive temperature in Highland was 111 levels, in response to the National Weather Service.
The trigger and origin of the hearth had been beneath investigation.
