Lawson formally changing Perez at Red Bull F1 staff



New Zealander Liam Lawson will change Sergio Perez within the daunting function of teammate to four-time world champion Max Verstappen at Red Bull subsequent season, the Formula One staff stated on Thursday.

Perez’s departure was introduced on Wednesday and Lawson’s promotion from Red Bull’s sister staff RB had been anticipated. The transfer signifies that the more-experienced Yuki Tsunoda will stick with the RB staff for the 2025 season.

The 22-year-old made his F1 debut on the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix as a five-race stand-in for the injured Daniel Ricciardo and returned for the final six races of this season when the Australian was dropped.
