(CP) Vice President Kamala Harris quoted from the Gospel of Luke when giving a message to the African Methodist Episcopal Church, saying that her marketing campaign is “targeted on the longer term.”


In a video message given to the AME Church General Conference on Tuesday, the Democrat presidential nominee recommended the traditionally black denomination for its efforts to get folks registered to vote.

“Organizing souls to the polls, ensuring your members are registered and able to vote,” she noticed. “Because, in fact, everyone knows that that is probably the most consequential election of our lifetime.”

Harris mentioned that the United States faces “a selection between two very totally different visions for the way forward for our nation,” together with her marketing campaign being “targeted on the longer term” whereas the Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump and his marketing campaign are “targeted on the previous.”
