Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian informed a senior ally of Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin on Monday that Tehran was decided to increase relations with its “strategic accomplice Russia,” Iranian state media reported.
Sergei Shoigu, the secretary of Russia’s safety council, met Iran’s president and high safety officers because the Islamic Republic weighs its response to the killing of a Hamas chief.
“Russia is among the many nations which have stood by the Iranian nation throughout tough instances,” Pezeshkian informed Shoigu in a gathering, Iranian state media reported.
