Harris secures Democratic presidential nomination as hunt for VP choose heats up



U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris successfully secured the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination Friday, confirming her exceptional rise to party commonplace bearer in November’s showdown in opposition to Republican Donald Trump.

Harris, 59, was the only real candidate on the poll for a five-day digital vote of practically 4,000 party conference delegates. The first Black and South Asian lady ever to safe a significant party’s nomination, she shall be formally topped at a Chicago conference later this month.

Harris mentioned on a phone-in to a party celebration she was “honored” to have amassed the required help by the second day of the marathon digital vote and declared: “We are going to win this election.”
