A mother in Georgia is dealing with attainable jail time after her 10-year-old son was discovered strolling alone to city, lower than a mile from the household’s dwelling.
Brittany Patterson, 41, was arrested on suspicion of reckless conduct on Oct. 30 over her son’s unsupervised stroll, in keeping with the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office.
Patterson had taken one other son to a health care provider’s appointment when she left her son Soren, now 11, alone at their dwelling within the rural city of Mineral Bluff, NBC News reported. After somebody reported Soren’s wandering, deputies situated him and drove him dwelling.

Patterson and her lawyer stated that authorities provided to drop the cost if she signed a security plan that included utilizing a GPS tracker on her son’s cellphone.
The mother stated she is refusing to signal the plan and can combat the cost.
“I simply felt like I could not signal that and that in doing so, could be agreeing that there was one thing unsafe about my dwelling or one thing unsafe about my parental selections and I simply do not consider that,” the mother informed ABC News.
