French-Japanese sequence takes finest drama at International Emmys


Japanese productions proceed to shine abroad, with French-Japanese drama sequence “Les Gouttes de Dieu” (“Drops of God”) taking dwelling finest drama on the International Emmy Awards on Tuesday.

Adapted by Quoc Dang Tran, the sequence is predicated on a 2004 manga by Yuko and Shin Kibayashi (beneath the pseudonym Tadashi Agi), and Shu Okimoto set on the earth of wine and tremendous eating. It stars Japanese actor Tomohisa Yamashita within the lead position reverse French actor Fleur Geffrier.

The sequence was financed by French nationwide public broadcaster France Televisions, America’s Legendary Entertainment and Hulu Japan, with Apple TV shopping for the rights to air the sequence apart from in France and Japan. Apple has reportedly signed on for a second season.
