Felon who escaped from Rancho Cucamonga jail arrested in Los Angeles



A Riverside County felon who escaped from the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga over the weekend was arrested in Los Angeles on Monday, June 17, authorities stated.

Deshaun Maurice Stamps, 29, was charged final November with tried homicide and assault with a firearm on a peace officer, based on the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. He escaped Sunday afternoon from the recreation yard although authorities didn’t launch info on how he managed to do it.

Stamps was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department on Monday and was within the strategy of being transferred again into the custody of sheriff’s officers.

Stamps was ordered final week by a judge to bear a psychiatric analysis after the judge expressed doubt about Stamps’ psychological competency to face trial, courtroom information present.  He was scheduled to return to courtroom on Aug. 14 for a listening to of the outcomes of the analysis.
