Ex-Manhattan prosecutor who investigated Trump takes up new function in Paris


Cyrus Vance Jr., former Manhattan district legal professional who led a prison probe into United States President-elect Donald Trump’s enterprise dealings, has joined the Paris department of worldwide legislation agency Baker McKenzie.

“We are delighted to welcome Cyrus Vance Jr, former Manhattan District Attorney (2010-2021) to Baker McKenzie Paris. He will present shoppers along with his widely known experience in prison legislation, cross-border investigations and compliance,” the corporate wrote on Tuesday in a publish on LinkedIn.

Baker McKenzie introduced the switch simply days earlier than the U.S. president-elect’s inauguration on Jan. 20. Marie E. Hebert, the agency’s director of worldwide media relations, stated his “transfer to Paris has nothing to do with the truth that he investigated President-elect Trump.”
