A brush fireplace that broke out Friday on a hillside close to a Murrieta sports activities park scorched 72 acres earlier than it was stopped.

The non-injury Alamos Fire was reported at 3:22 p.m. close to Los Alamos Hills Sports Park, in accordance with the Riverside County Fire Department.
