A brand new Dubai speakeasy combining water, earth, hearth and air with moody deep crimson interiors has launched, promising a menu of cocktails that evoke the weather.
Aether on the five-star W Dubai lodge on The Palm guarantees to “ignite the senses and elevate the spirit” with clean R&B beats and a menu of blended drinks drawing upon the “primal forces of nature”.
In the dramatically spotlit area – hidden behind heavy doorways – shiny gold stools and plush crimson armchairs overlook brushed concrete partitions and an amber-themed bar stocked with premium spirits.
Menu highlights embrace the Parachute Youth (AED80) — a mixture of rum with citrus, yuzu, caramel and lavender that represents air’s “boundless freedom of motion and expansiveness”.
The wood-aged Espressioni (AED85) in the meantime contains a fiery mix of gin with coffee-infused Campari, crimson vermouth and do-it-yourself chocolate.
Drinks will likely be served up alongside a variety of bites, with a DJ spinning out every little thing from bossa nova and jazz in the course of the week to “specifically edited” soul, funk and disco tracks on weekend nights.
“Aether units itself aside with its music by spotlighting the soulful rhythms, wealthy melodies, and vibrant beats, specifically curated to harbour an inviting ambiance with a clean but eclectic soundtrack from the speakeasy’s stay DJ every day to raise company’ expertise,” the lodge added.
