6 killed in fiery visitors collision southeast of Moreno Valley




Six individuals had been killed and 4 others had been injured when flames engulfed three vehicles that collided southeast of Moreno Valley on Monday, Sept. 9, the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department stated.

The crash was reported at 2:22 p.m. on the intersection of Gilman Springs Road and Bridge Street in unincorporated Riverside County. All of the vehicles had been ablaze when firefighters arrived, Cal Fire stated.

The company initially reported that 4 individuals had been pronounced dead on the scene and 4 others had been injured. That was later up to date to 6 dead.

The 4 injured had been affected by minor to severe accidents.

The crash touched off a brush hearth that was held to about 3 acres.

Gilman Springs Road from Bridge Street to Highway 79 was closed for the investigation. Eastbound visitors on Gilman Springs was diverted to southbound Bridge. Westbound visitors on Gilman Springs was diverted to Highway 79.

No particulars of the collision had been instantly out there.
