Deputies went to the intersection of Highway 111 and Simon Drive at about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, in accordance with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
They discovered two bikes and a Chevrolet pickup and 4 victims, with three dying on the scene. A fourth sufferer was taken to a hospital.
“The bikes had been touring eastbound on Highway 111 when one among (them) struck a pedestrian who was crossing Highway 111,” a sheriff’s assertion stated. “The collision with the pedestrian precipitated the rider to be ejected, and the motorbike got here to relaxation within the westbound site visitors lanes.
As people had been offering support to the motorbike rider, a white Chevy pickup touring westbound on Highway 111 struck the motorbike.”
The driver of the pickup truck cooperated with investigators.
