3.1-magnitude earthquake close to Ontario barely shakes Southern California



A magnitude-3.1 earthquake centered two miles southeast of Ontario struck at 12:56 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the US Geological Survey mentioned.

The quake was felt in Victorville, Riverside, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Mission Viejo and Oceanside and elsewhere, in response to the USGS depth map .

An earthquake of that magnitude isn’t able to inflicting greater than extraordinarily minor harm.
