24-year-old man charged in Newport Coast dwelling invasion



A 24-year-old Pomona man is scheduled to be arraigned Monday on expenses of breaking into a house this week in Newport Beach the place a home-owner shot him, whereas a second suspect apparently took his personal life.

According to police, two suspects entered the home in what investigators consider was a focused assault, and a resident fired photographs at them.

Andrew Miguel Rosas was charged Thursday with housebreaking, theft, carrying a loaded gun in public and conspiracy to commit a criminal offense, all felonies. He is accused within the break-in about 4:45 a.m. Tuesday within the 100 block of Vista Luci within the Newport Coast space of town.

“We know that there’s a relationship between the 2 suspects and the victims, the residents,” Sgt. Steve Oberon instructed reporters on the scene. “It was a house invasion. Whether it was a theft or what their different intentions are, I don’t know right now.”

An arraignment in Rosas’ hospital room was initially tried Thursday, however rescheduled for Friday within the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach. Rosas, who was not taken to courtroom, didn’t enter a plea on the listening to, which was rescheduled for Monday.

Rosas was being held with out bail. He was accused of conspiring with Gao Ming to commit the theft, in line with the prison grievance.
