2025 MPSE Golden Reel Awards Nominations: ‘Dune: Part Two,’ ‘The Penguin’ Triumph


The Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) has revealed the nominations for the 72nd Annual MPSE Golden Reel Awards, shining a highlight on the yr’s most interesting achievements in sound enhancing, sound design, music enhancing, and foley artistry. As one of the vital revered organizations within the trade since its inception in 1953, the MPSE continues to honor the unsung heroes who elevate storytelling by the artwork of sound.

This yr’s nominees embrace a few of the largest contenders within the Best Sound class on the Oscars, resembling A Complete Unknown, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, and Wicked. Leading the pack are Deadpool & Wolverine and Dune: Part Two, every securing three nominations for dialogue enhancing, results enhancing, and music enhancing. Other movies making waves with a number of nods embrace A Complete Unknown, Emilia Pérez, and Wicked, demonstrating the distinctive auditory craftsmanship behind these cinematic experiences.
